Breathtaking

Last night I took myself on a sunset cruise around the lake. The colors were stunning.
(Forgive the watermark. These are my pictures. I don't want anyone copying and using them for their own. I know there are ways around watermarks, but...)

For Dave...We're Saving the Bass for Ya

Fun day on the lake. Mom was catching bass right and left. She finally had to wipe her forehead in exhaustion. We've had about three fish fries this week. Soooo delicious. They taste like potato chips. I finished my LAST paper for my degree. See? I was being good while everyone else fished. I brought my laptop with me and worked. Now I get to go fishing...FINALLY.

A "Before" picture of my tiny house
Cottage-on-the-Lake

Being good and staying at my "outdoor office" while Mom and Dad go back out fishing

Icky, my unwilling study buddy. He hates the leash.

Perfect ending to a pretty perfect day

My Hometown

My Daddy-o is a historian. He has records of our family tree going back to the Mayflower and even earlier. He's proud of his heritage and has instilled that in his kids. He is also proud of his hometown...my hometown. He has postcards from when it was just a small tourist, vacation spot. It's still a small, tourist vacation spot, but for those of us who were raised here - it's much more. And...I don't feel like writing anymore. I'm supposed to be writing my last paper for my grad program and I'm procrastinating. Here are some pictures I took under the direction of Dad. I wish I had the earlier ones for before and after. Maybe when I'm done gettin' an edjukashion, I can find the others, for a comparison.
