I finished the butterfly and added shading. I like the results. Now I need to add the words, distress it, and add the antique medium. Almost done!

Auntie got to spend time with her girl and we had a blast. MomMA joined us. There are a lot of pictures, but this is my blog so I can have as many as I want. I love being Auntie to such a sweet Doll-Baby.

Canvas for Michele - Part Two

JP and I spent hours last night, painting and singing and talking. Here's a glimpse of our "studio"

So, my cousin, Michele, saw this painting in a little store in Texas and took a picture. We decided I could paint it. The goal is to get it done before I go back to the U.P.  Stage One was prepping the canvas, Stage Two was sketching the picture, and here is Stage Three...beginning to paint. Last night, JP and I listened to opera and oldies while painting and drinking Pepsi. We couldn't decide if we wanted to be high-class or rednecks. It was fun, although I don't really remember the last hour of it - I was so tired. More updates to come...
