Prepping for Halloween and the New Husky Dawg

Girls' Club had fun painting and carving pumpkins. We used glow-in-the-dark paint so they had the option of painting designs, carving and putting battery-operated lights inside, or painting AND carving. MomMA was there to help. She made donuts, which were a huge hit. The kids said they were similar to Chinese traditional desserts they had at holidays. We also served cider. Yummy. MomMA and I didn't have time to do our own pumpkins so we started ours at home on Saturday. We ran out of steam and decided to start up again tomorrow. I have some beginning pictures. Will post the finished products/masterpieces later.

On a different note, someone in the WA parents' house is an avid UW fan. Every game finds this nameless person decked out in UW attire, cheering the team on from his recliner. Since the addition of Mr. Tobias to the family, Mr. Avid UW Fan decided his faithful pup needed UW clothes, too. Here's the newest Dawg...ready for the game. Go Huskies!
